USACE Tomb of Remembrance

The Tomb of Remembrance shall be a functional memorial, designed and constructed as an ossuary for repositing comingled cremated remains of unidentified and unclaimed U.S. service members. In additional to a memorial, the project will include a fully accessible pedestrian path between Patton Drive and the existing Niche Wall, and shall incorporate appropriate site work, such as landscaping and any necessary stormwater treatment features.

This historic Gothic Revival style sanctuary project consists of an evaluation of roof systems and stone walls at the roof for damage and leakage, the preparation of demolition plans, and design for a detailed roof replacement, along with the stone and all associated materials for replacement.

A 4,200 square foot campsite facilities building at Newport News Park Campground, this building maintains a rustic aesthetic similar to other buildings within the park, while offering needed space for a campsite store, check-in, offices, restrooms, and laundry.

James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Station

GuernseyTingle developed a feasibility study for James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Station and has been awarded the design and construction administration contract for the new station. The new expanded state-of-the art facility will be sited on the existing property to better serve to surrounding community.

St. Bede's Catholic Church Parish Hall and Administration Wing

The building consists of two one-story wings and a lower basement level. Administrative and Ministry offices, located in the north wing are convenient to visitor parking and benefit from natural light on three sides. Parish Hall and kitchen, located in the south wing engage the courtyard and allow for service areas to be screened from primary pedestrian views. Flex-meeting rooms and small meeting rooms for classroom use are located at the lower level and are accessible from both wings.

American Revolution Museum Outdoor Interpretive Area

With the construction of the new American Revolution Museum and the ultimate removal of the existing museum, Jamestown Yorktown Foundation was presented with the opportunity to reorganize, reorient, and expand their existing Outdoor Interpretive Area. The outdoor interpretive area is broken down into four main areas: the transitional pavilion, the military encampment, the amphitheater, and the living farm.
