Churches

There are few structures as inspirational as houses of faith, and GuernseyTingle has experience creating them. We realize that a place of worship is as unique as its members and leadership, and our architectural designs reflect that. Here is an overview of our church design process:

–Meet with clergy and leadership to discuss their ideas, what the congregation needs and wants in a structure, and how best to attain that

–Create data gathering sessions with groups that will use the worship space to collect their input, and hear from other members on what they picture for their worship space

–Develop preliminary plans and use a “funneling approach,” where multiple design concepts are presented to a church committee, and leadership and members decide on which would fit their needs

–Work with leadership to develop construction plans and handle construction administration, if needed, to ensure approved designs are completed

Whether it’s a new structure, a renovation or addition, we understand the need to serve the individual voices of a church as well as the collective voice of the congregation.
