GuernseyTingle Welcomes Three New Team Members
GuernseyTingle is excited to welcome three new members to the team. Kate Fogash, our 2023 VT summer intern, is joining us full-time as a Designer/Technician. While Brooke Reale and Dalton Mara, both recent VCU graduates, join the firm as Interior Designers.
Kate first came to GuernseyTingle last summer as an intern and just graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with her bachelor’s in architecture and a minor in art history. She is excited to bring her creativity and detailed-oriented approach to design and merge with the firm’s existing culture and methods of design.
Kate has lived in Pennsylvania, and more recently, her family now lives in the Houston area. Kate was interested in staying on the east coast after graduation and will be living in Williamsburg. Her hobbies include art, Irish dance, and writing blogs.
Brooke interned with GuernseyTingle part-time starting August 2023 while attending her senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University. With her bachelor’s in interior design, she is looking forward to bringing a sense of storytelling and a playful dynamic into the spaces she helps design.
Brooke grew up in Williamsburg and enjoys making jewelry and designing handbags with her mom. She spent a month last summer studying in Italy learning hand rendering skills and site observations. As part of VCU’s IDES pilot program on the Eastern Shore, she focused on waterfront communities and how environmental issues provide an ever-changing landscape for residents. In partnership with the Barrier Island Center, she was also involved in a design/build project that interpreted and explored the original Almshouse “pest house” where sick residents were quarantined from other residents.
Dalton joined GuernseyTingle in August 2023 as a part-time intern while attending her final year of college. She earned her bachelor’s in interior design and is excited to be back in the ‘Burg! During her time at VCU, Dalton joined Middle of Broad Studio (MoB), where she immersed herself in community-engaged projects in the city of Richmond. She eagerly anticipates channeling her passion for community engaged work and creativity into the projects she works on at the firm.
Dalton grew up in Williamsburg but currently lives in Richmond enjoying weekends walking to Belle Isle and concerts at Browns Island. Her father, TW Taylor, owns Williamsburg Drug Company. She is part of a crazy, hectic, blended family (her words!) and is the middle of six children. She loves spending time at the Outer Banks and her beloved fur-baby Lynyrd, named after Lynyrd Skynyrd of course!
GuernseyTingle is currently seeking to fill additional positions for architects, architectural designers, and architectural graduates out of its Williamsburg office. Candidates can learn more about the positions on our careers page.
