Bringing a community together is critical for a successful planning project.

GuernseyTingle worked with the multi-discipline development team on this community that brings new housing and offices to residents in the mid-town section of Newport News.

Hilton Commons is a 110-acre site that has been home to vacant World War II era warehouses. The goal of the project is to create a blend of housing types offering a range of home styles and prices. The mix of housing includes 137 townhouses, 84 quadruplexes, 188 duplexes, and 208 single-family homes with architectural styles based the character of surrounding neighborhoods. Also included in the community are upscale offices, green space, and a 1-acre park that serves Hilton Commons as well as the public.
