TPMG Discovery Park is a new, 40,000-square foot, two-story medical office facility that features a combination of architectural styles. It is the home of Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group and houses physical therapy suites, orthopedics, imaging, diagnostic cardiology, a sleep center, and future tenant spaces. The design also includes a special docking area for the mobile MRI trailer, allowing patients to have direct access without having to exit through the parking area.

The exterior of the building uses traditional brick façade elements with dramatic glassed corners, and features curved elements at the entrances. Working with LARS Construction in a design-build capacity, GuernseyTingle created a unique structure that will never even be seen. At its core, the building has a hybrid wood framing system with structural post-and-beam supports. This allowed the builder to economize in construction materials while still providing the open flexibility normally associated with all-steel buildings. The end result is a medical building that perfectly demonstrates the innovative thinking that sets GuernseyTingle apart.
