Guernsey Tingle knows that a colonial era redesign should never mean an outdated one.
As the first vacation ownership facility located within the Williamsburg city limits, Westgate Resort aimed to convert a 1960’s motel and apartment building into luxury timeshare units reflecting the colonial era. The project includes an on-site reception and sales center, exterior pool, fitness center, game room, and other resort amenities.
Guest rooms were limited in size due to the original building configuration, but through the use of custom built-ins, mirrors, and cased openings, the units give the impression of a much larger suite. The surrounding historic Williamsburg area is reflected throughout the resort in its casework details, moldings, trim, furniture, and decorations, which all compliment the 18th century charm of the area.
