Kelley Wisenauer

Architect

“Architects are storytellers. I enjoy crafting wonder, not just in the final product, but in every step of the process.”

Kelley Wisenauer, AIA, brings a dynamic blend of creativity, technical expertise, and business acumen to her role as an Architect at GuernseyTingle. A licensed architect with degrees from the University of Virginia, Old Dominion University and Boston Architectural College, Kelley’s career began with The Miller Group, a turn-key company where she gained a comprehensive understanding of the full building cycle, from design through construction. Later, Kelley managed residential and commercial project at Covington Hendrix Anderson Architects before founding her own architecture firm, Wise Designs. Her passion for architecture stems from a desire to combine creativity with practicality, shaping spaces that are both beautiful and highly functional. With a background in building information modeling (BIM) and residential design, Kelley’s approach is grounded in innovation, data analysis and an understanding of what makes a design visually and emotionally effective.

Based in Williamsburg, Kelley has called Virginia home for much of her life, having grown up in a military family that moved frequently before settling in Virginia Beach. Outside of the office, she channels her curiosity and love of history into her hobbies, producing a podcast, photographing historical monuments and engaging with local communities. Her fascination with the intersection of art, history and human experience continually informs her work, allowing her to design with a deep sense of purpose and connection.
