Anchors Aweigh: Williamsburg Landing Breaks Ground on Independent Living Neighborhood Expansion
Growth continues at Williamsburg Landing, which broke ground on Anchor Cove, the retirement community’s latest Independent Living neighborhood.
In addition to 39 independent living units, the expansion also includes state-of-the-art amenities such as a Community Center that houses a 300-seat resident community theater and studio space for artists and musicians.
Williamsburg Landing is a premier accredited life plan community set on 153 acres in Williamsburg, VA, that offers a comprehensive lifestyle for senior adults. Williamsburg Landing is the first CARF accredited Life Plan Community in the Hampton Roads area and among only 15% of accredited Life Plan Communities in the country.
Anchor Cove residents will select from a variety of home models ranging from 1,680 square feet to 2,400 square feet. The project was designed by GuernseyTingle, working closely with W.M. Jordan Company serving as the General Contractor.
Over the years, GuernseyTingle has been a part of several construction and renovation projects at Williamsburg Landing. Earlier, the firm supported the $18 million Landing Building Renovation project led by Henderson Incorporated. The successful effort included carefully orchestrating a five-phase construction schedule that allowed the 130,000 square foot building to remain operational and open throughout the project.
