Chris Cromer, AIA, Appointed to Advisory Board at R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA

GuernseyTingle architect Chris Cromer, AIA, has been named to the Advisory Board at R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA, joining fellow volunteer board members to help create and support the community organization’s strategic direction.

Part of YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas, the R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA offers fitness programs, youth development programs, and job training programs in the Williamsburg area.

GuernseyTingle and its team members support many charitable, philanthropic and other community organizations across the region. The firm designed the renovation of the R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA’s aquatic center and locker rooms in 2020.

Such projects are especially meaningful for Cromer, who was a competitive swimmer in college. Cromer has been the Project Architect for multiple aquatic center design projects at GuernseyTingle, including the Northern Neck Family YMCA and the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex, the largest facility of its kind in Virginia.

Cromer is also a volunteer board member and staffer at Tri-Cities Workcamps, which provides an opportunity for high-school campers to remodel homes for needy owners in the Richmond, Petersburg and Tri-Cities area.
