Construction Underway at New Hampton Fire Station 3 Location
The City of Hampton broke ground on the future location of Fire Station 3. Built to support Hampton Fire & Rescue’s Wythe District, this state-of-the-art facility will include specialized training areas and a fitness center and will serve as a hub for community outreach, fire safety education, and more.
The new, environmentally-friendly facility follows LEED standards and will include transitional areas that help protect firefighters from toxins. It replaces the existing Hampton Fire Station 3, which has been in operation for nearly 80 years.
The $11 million fire station will include four apparatus bays, sleeping and exercise rooms, as well as a training mezzanine.
Project partners include Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects, SYNCON, TRC Companies, Inc., and M.T. Carter Contracting.
