Fairbanks Morse Defense Facility Sails to Completion

Fairbanks Morse Defense completed a 45,000-square-foot training and service center campus in Chesapeake, Virginia, creating a next-generation campus that offers fully integrated service and technology solutions to the largest concentration of Navy, Military Sealift Command, and Coast Guard fleets in the US.

GuernseyTingle played an important role on the design-build team for this project that provides various offices, state-of-the-art training spaces, common areas, and service and maintenance warehouse bays.

Partners on the project included Heartland Construction, Roach Consulting Engineers, IDG and Speight, Marshall & Francis, and the City of Chesapeake, all working together closely to create a facility that serves multiple naval defense customers across the region.

The $13 million project broke ground in July of 2022 and was designed to allow significant expansion, allowing Fairbanks Morse Defense and its family of brands to utilize additional space over time.
