GuernseyTingle adds new Director of Business Development

GuernseyTingle is pleased to announce that Stede J. Barnes has joined the firm as the Director of Business Development.

“Our leadership spans generations, and we are growing; Stede brings sound business development expertise in professional services. His strategic approach to marketing will drive our continued growth,” says Tom Tingle, AIA, President.

Mr. Barnes joins GuernseyTingle after spending the last 17 years marketing for a prominent Mid-Atlantic Engineering, Surveying, and Environmental firm. A graduate of both Virginia Tech and the University of Richmond, he brings expertise gained through his traditional business education and by holding nearly every marketing position in the AEC industry.

In his new role, he will guide GuernseyTingle’s leadership with strategic planning, business development, and regional growth to serve its Virginia communities. Defined by a balance of conventional and digital marketing strategies, Stede employs an integrated approach to branding, promotions, sales, and growth. He believes that small shifts in traditional thinking can make an impact, but a solid purpose and strong company culture truly set businesses apart.

Now entering our thirty-seventh year in business, GuernseyTingle of Williamsburg has become one of the largest architectural firms on the Virginia Peninsula. The firm’s collaborative approach to relationship building, creative visioning, and design-build project delivery has allowed GuernseyTingle to work on numerous exciting projects throughout the US.
