GuernseyTingle adds stockholder and Vice President
GuernseyTingle is pleased to announce that Stephanie L. Kalantarians, AIA has been named Vice President and Stockholder of the Williamsburg-based architectural, interior design and planning firm. As a new stockholder, Mrs. Kalantarians will bring a generation of new ownership to GuernseyTingle as the firm enters its 36th year in business.
“I am honored to be a part of the future development of a firm that has maintained such a long-standing and steadfast relationship with the Williamsburg community and beyond. I am an emphatic believer that consistent communication is the key to a successful project. I am excited about seeing our firm grow, while maintaining our mission to serve our clients and the community,” says Kalantarians.
Mrs. Kalantarians graduated cum laude from Virginia Tech in 1997 with a Bachelor of Architecture. Since joining GuernseyTingle in 2005, Mrs. Kalantarians has worked on a variety of public and private projects. She is particularly interested in historic renovations and the repurposing of older structures into new uses. She has received numerous awards for her efforts, including the Design Excellence for Preservation Award from the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects. She is currently working on an expansion for the National Ground Intelligence Center in Charlottesville, as well as numerous projects with the City of Newport News, and the Virginia Department of Conservation & Recreation.
Stephanie’s husband, Narbe, works as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Virginia Union University as well as a Research Collaborator at Jefferson Lab. Her son, Emmit, attends Matthew Whaley Elementary School and is an avid baseball player and fan.
