GuernseyTingle Names Dawn Hassan Stockholder and Vice President
GuernseyTingle is proud to announce that Dawn Hassan has been named Vice President and Stockholder of the Williamsburg-based architectural, interior design and planning firm.
Hassan is the fourth female to be appointed Vice President at the firm which will be celebrating its 40th year in business in November.
As Financial Manager and Controller, she oversees the firm’s financial planning and performance, as well as daily accounting duties. She also plays a key role in the firm’s human resources and information technology functions. Leveraging an extensive background in analysis and quality initiatives, she works closely with the firm’s project managers to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
“While the firm’s culture, architectural excellence and relationship-centered attributes make GuernseyTingle a truly special place to build a career, it’s the team’s dogged adherence to financial principles and best practices that are also incredibly important,” said Hassan. “That adherence facilitates my role’s success as Controller, and most importantly, GuernseyTingle’s success, and it’s an honor to be named to the firm’s leadership team.”
Prior to joining GuernseyTingle 11 years ago, Hassan spent 25 years working for international corporations and local construction and architectural businesses. Earlier, Hassan earned a Master of Education degree from William & Mary and a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University. She is a member of the Society of Design Administrators.
