GuernseyTingle was excited to participate in the topping out celebration for the Greater Williamsburg Sports and Event Center, a major milestone marking significant progress on a transformative project for our region.

This 200,000-square-foot indoor facility promises to be a game changer – not just for athletes, but for the entire community. From hosting state and national tournaments to drawing visitors from across the country, the center will serve as a premier destination for sports, recreation, and entertainment in Greater Williamsburg.

The facility’s impressive design includes 12 basketball courts that can be reconfigured into 24 volleyball courts or 36 pickleball courts. A full-size football field is made possible with retractable turf at the center, which will also feature a ninja gym and rock climbing walls.

Meanwhile, the center’s state-of-the-art entertainment and hospitality areas will drive tourism and elevate guest experiences.

We are honored to be part of the team bringing this vision to life. Congratulations to our project partners MEB, Clark Nexsen, Timmons Group, Henderson, the City of Williamsburg, York County, James City County, and all others contributing to this ambitious effort.

Set to open in 2026, the Greater Williamsburg Sports and Event Center represents more than just a facility—it is an investment in our community’s future. We look forward to seeing the energy and opportunities it brings to the region.

Stay tuned as this impactful project continues to take shape.
