Ready for Launch: DarKoaster Thrills Fans at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s DarKoaster, a steel coaster design manufactured by Intamin Worldwide featuring four launches and a total of 2,454 feet of track, recently opened to the public as one of the most anticipated roller coasters of 2023.

GuernseyTingle supported the theming design for this project, working with David A. Nice Builders and others to bring this one-of-a-kind attraction to life. The family-friendly thrill ride made history as North America’s first all-indoor straddle coaster.

Erected in the same building that previously housed Curse of DarKastle, the all-new DarKoaster builds on the existing lore of the former ride as guests venture into King Ludwig’s abandoned fortress. Much of the theming was artfully repurposed and utilized to emphasize the connection between the new and old attractions.
