Tapping Into Excellence: Behind the Scenes of New Realm Brewery

New Realm Brewing Company’s newest location in Suffolk, Virginia, has been a hot spot for gatherings since its opening in November 2024. As part of the design team for this project, GuernseyTingle played a key role in creating a space that combines innovation, community, and entertainment under one roof.

The venue is located in Suffolk’s vibrant Blue Point at the Riverfront development and was designed to redefine the brewery experience.

Besides a brewhouse that can craft 500 barrels of beer annually, the facility offers a full-service 110-seat restaurant with a menu designed to complement New Realm’s craft beers and spirits, a state-of-the-art distillery, producing 400 gallons of small-batch spirits for signature cocktails, and an 8,000 square foot beer garden outdoor and music venue, providing a stage for live performances and events.

With a dedicated dog park, New Realm invites visitors to bring along their four-legged friends. Enjoy the indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, perfect for socializing, dining, and relaxing year-round.

Some fun features to look for in the photos include:

• Custom hops light fixtures in the Suffolk Room.
• Custom wallpaper in the restrooms illustrating the chemistry of brewing.
• Custom painted mural along the back wall of the rooftop bar.
• Rooftop seating overlooking the brewery with a view of the equipment and more custom hops lights.
• Bay doors creating a seamless transition from the indoor Suffolk Room to the outdoor venue.

GuernseyTingle worked collaboratively with project partners to design a facility that reflects the brand’s adventurous ethos while creating a welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike.
