Chesterfield Animal Care

Project Overview

  • Facilitated conversations with stakeholders and community groups
  • Assisted with site selection and evaluated current facility
  • Provided master planning and needs assessment to secure funding

When localities have areas of need, we can facilitate the necessary conversations and develop master plans to secure funding.

GuernseyTingle was approached by Chesterfield County to assist with three areas of need: addressing an aging animal control facility, accommodating new state veterinary regulations, and accounting for blossoming community growth. As their partner, we assisted the county with bringing together stakeholders and community groups to facility conversations around the needs of the new facility, as well as both the animals and community it will serve.

Additionally, we assisted Chesterfield County with site selection and evaluation of existing facility and operational procedures. Facility programming, master planning and a needs assessment based on current and projected census data were also completed. Once funding is approved, the project will move into the next design phases.
