Amanda Running, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Principal
“I enjoy pushing myself to learn and do new things.”
Amanda is our firm’s expert in public safety projects. She loves working on public safety as a unique building type that balances the complexities of mixing residential, office, and specialized systems and as a contribution to communities. A graduate of North Dakota State University with a Master of Architecture degree, Amanda also served as a mathematics and environmental design tutor during her time there. Her recent projects include the Williamsburg Fire Station, Hampton Fire Station 3, Newport News Fire Station 11, and Chesterfield County Fire Stations 25, 8, and 5.
She participates in the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce and is a frequent contributor to numerous community initiatives and charitable organizations such as the American Liver Foundation – a cause that is near and dear to her heart. Through her marathons and community fundraisers she has raised more than $10,000 for ALF and their work around education, advocacy, support services and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.
In her free time, she likes traveling and spending time with friends, planning trips back home to see family in Minnesota, and preparing for her next marathon.
