Richard J. Smith, AIA, ASID

Rich is responsible for GuernseyTingle’s interior design group, and focuses on theming, recreational, leisure, hospitality and senior living projects. For the past 24 years he’s worked as both an architect and interior designer and focuses on responding to his client’s needs while creating pleasing spaces that exceed their expectations.

A native of Williamsburg, Rich has two degrees from the Savannah College of Art & Design and spent the early years of his career with a national senior-living architectural firm. He is the recipient of a Silver Award from the American Society of Interior Designers for Corporate Interior Design.

Rich lives in James City County with his wife and two sons, and he is also an Eagle Scout and youth soccer coach.
