The track layout of Texas Stingray was designed to work with the existing topography, and foliage to limit its impact on the site.
Texas Stingray is the newest addition to SeaWorld San Antonio. The coaster features a record-breaking 100 plus foot drop and over 15 airtime hills winding their way through existing terrain and foliage. The train gains energy by dropping into natural valleys reaching speeds in excess of 55 mph while winding around pre-existing trees. The queue uses natural shade to enhance the guest experience. At the same time, the winding path directs guests through the coaster itself, passing the active lift motor, all while telling the story of a stingray’s circular migration around the Gulf of Mexico. Leading up to the Station House and exiting through a themed photo area and gift shop. The theme of the attraction is Texas itself! Patriotism and state pride are the central focus of the entire new attraction.
