GuernseyTingle is excited to announce that it has hired three new Architectural Designers based in its Williamsburg, Virginia headquarters office in New Town. The firm is also seeking to fill additional positions.
Jaime Dunlap joins the firm after earning her Master of Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. The Newport News, Virginia native received her undergraduate degree in Architectural Design from James Madison University where she also served as Marketing Chair of the Architectural Design Club.
University of Virginia graduate Jacob Barton joined GuernseyTingle after participating in the firm’s summer internship program in 2022 and recently earning both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural History. While at UVA, Barton studied the art and architecture of Northern and Southern Europe, the Mediterranean, India and the Islamic world.
Also joining the firm is Nate Bennett, who received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and recently completed a summer internship in Nepal with 100 Fold Studio, an organization focused on providing affordable and innovative architectural services to global ministries. Bennett participated in GuernseyTingle’s summer internship program in 2019.
GuernseyTingle is celebrating its 40th anniversary in November and has grown to become one of the largest architectural firms on the Virginia Peninsula.

GuernseyTingle’s design portfolio includes a range of commercial, government, hospitality, recreation and other types of projects serving clients all over the east coast and Caribbean.
The firm is frequently recognized for its work by local and national industry organizations such as the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). GuernseyTingle was the architect for the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex, the largest facility of its kind in Virginia, which recently earned a 2023 DBIA National Award of Merit.
